Activity · Card 06
Friday night at the VIR karting track. Ten random teams of four. Two hours of wheel-to-wheel chaos. By the time it's done, everyone knows everyone.
Friday 7:00 PM · VIR Karting · Add-on · $100/Driver
Friday Night
You sign up as an individual. Teams get drawn at random just before the start. Suddenly you're on a four-person team with three strangers, and you've got two hours, ten teams on track, a minimum of three pit stops, and one shared trophy at the end.
It is the single most efficient social event of the weekend. Track Heroes are grilling burgers next to the karting track. By 9:00 PM, you've made friends with three people you didn't know at 6:00 PM. That's the whole magic of this thing.

The Format
Forty drivers sign up. Just before the start, names get pulled into ten teams of four. You meet your teammates roughly thirty seconds before you all decide who drives first.
The race runs two hours. Each team has to pit at least three times for driver changes. Whoever's running the most laps when the checker drops takes the win. Four trophies, one for each member of the winning team.
You walk in not knowing your teammates. You walk out planning to do this again next year.
Burgers from Track Heroes are on hand all evening. Same volunteer crew from lunch, donations appreciated. The kart track has its own paddock setup. By the time the race wraps, the Transaxle Lounge crew is back at Oak Tree Tavern, and a lot of stories about the enduro are already getting better.
Requirements
