DE Event:
We welcome both experienced and novice drivers out to this event. Our instructors are familiar with the 944 and offer a comfortable environment for anyone seeking to participate in their first on track event.
Is my car track worthy?
I've never tracked my car. Is this a good first time?
Who is running the DE?
Do I need a helmet?
Is the DE just one day or all three?
Is my car track worthy?
- Maybe. Your safety as well as the safety of the other drivers is key. In order to participate in the DE event you must have your car tech inspected. A copy of the form/check list is available on the DE Registration link. This can be filled out by yourself or your mechanic (preferably) and is a requirement.
I've never tracked my car. Is this a good first time?
- Absolutely YES. You will be with a group that is highly receptive to novice track drivers. You will also have the benefit of an instructor that will ride along with you and show you the ropes in real time. There are many people in our group that have started out here as novice drivers and have went on to race competitively in NASA and SCCA.
Who is running the DE?
- This is a NOR-PCA sponsored DE event.
Do I need a helmet?
- Yes. You will need a SNELL rated helmet. Details are on the DE registration link. Some loaners may be available. Info is on the DE registration page.
Is the DE just one day or all three?
- The DE will continue throughout the weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our 944Fest group is only on Friday but there is an option to register for all three days if you want more track time. Attending the Saturday Sessions of the PCA DE will conflict with participating in the Really / Poker Run event but will still allow you to attend the dinner, awards and bonfire that afternoon.
Rally / Poker Run:
What is it?

What do we win?
- Teams (one team per car) leave the track with a sheet of loose instructions and riddles describing 5 locations within the surrounding area. Teams will be able to retrieve a single playing card from each location as it is found. Teams returning with 5 playing cards will be able to use them in a hand of poker during the awards ceremony, the winner of which claims the trophy and grand rally prize.
Suggested accompaniments
- A car or transportation of some sort. A Map / GPS or smart phone. A camera, as some destinations may require a photo.
What do we win?
- The winners get a trophy for sure as well as something extraordinarily grand from our pool of prizes (TBD)
Camping:
What to bring?
- Lawn or camping chair, sun screen, bug spray, cooler with drinks and any general outdoor activity peripherals.
- Primitive camping is available on site and on a first come / first serve basis. There is plenty of room to pitch a tent but there are a few desired placed with good shade / tree coverage so get there early. Bathrooms and showers are available onsite. Limited electric is available in the tech shed for charging devices etc.
- RV Parking is available but there are no hookups or dumps on site.
